04.04.08. For weeks we researched our first trip to New York City. Part of the research was simply to ask others what to do. One person said we should take a New York Taxi ride. He claimed it could be the best/worst white knuckle experience of our lives.
Well, it was a pleasant surprise. We took three cabs: One from a late night out in the West Village to Midtown, only $8. The second from Harlem to the Upper West Side, only $6. Last, from our hotel in Midtown to JFK, $45. All three cabs had GSP, live streaming satellite TV’s, a GSP tracker so you could see exactly where the cab was on the map. The map was interactive, able to zoom in and out, it was awesome!
